Louis Pearson is currently training to assume the role of Senior Ecologist and head up his own survey team, he is therefore Acting Senior Ecologist.
Louis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Biology (dissertation on marine reserves as strategy for fisheries management) and a Master’s Degree in Ecology & Management of the Natural Environment in which his dissertation comprised a botanical study of visitor pressure in natural habitats. He is also a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
Louis has competence in a wide range of ecological surveys and sampling analysis but is primarily the AEcol terrestrial mammal specialist, taking care of dormouse, water vole, otter and badger surveys and licencing. However, he also holds licences to survey for great crested newts and all bat species in England, as well as a CS38 licence for arboreal climbing and aerial rescue.
