INVERTEBRATE SURVEY
Where invertebrate survey is warranted, AEcol offer competence in both terrestrial and aquatic surveillance and monitoring, and also species-specific competence for any protected species survey in respect of: white-clawed crayfish Austropotamobius pallipes, Desmoulin’s whorl snail Vertigo moulinsiana, Roman snails Helix pomatia and fairy shrimps Chirocephalus diaphanus. In particular, AEcol have a wide range of experience in designing and performing the long-term aquatic invertebrate monitoring often required by Environment Agency abstraction and discharge licensing.
